IT STARTS WITH YOU!
Wow…January seems to be flying by even though I feel it has been a slow start to the year. I haven’t had the usual speedo start, jumping straight in to work and smashing out loads of goals. It’s been a more sedentary start and I can’t quite help feeling that this is the new way of life for us.
Many of us are working from home still, juggling our hectic home lives with housework and work and there has been no real push or desire to return to the office. Have things changed for good? Is this now going to be the new normal?
I don’t set new years resolutions, I simply don’t believe in them! Instead I set intentions and as you all know my intention for 2022 is transformation! In fact, my previous two blog posts have been all about creating your vision for your future and setting yourself up for a fantastic start to this year. My intention and my ‘word’ is indeed transformation and so with that comes new daily habits that become a part of a lifestyle that I am defining for myself and hopefully inspiring you to do so too.
My daily walks along the beach have become the new normal for me. Instead of rolling out of bed straight into my office, I’m taking a couple of hours out of my day that free my mind from my ‘things to do’ list, my anxieties and commitments. It’s been transformational already! 3 weeks in and I am feeling physically stronger-averaging 5 miles a day. Mentally I am feeling less stressed and more able to cope with my things to do list and my mood is so much more relaxed, calm and happier. I feel more able to face the world.
And so, as we continue on our theme of creating and cultivating our vision for ourselves in 2022, I wanted to remind you that it all starts with you!
Your desire for change
Your desire for wanting something refreshing, new and positive for your life
Your mental strength to only allow things into your life that fit with your values, morals and beliefs
Your ability to let things go. If something isn’t working - walking away from it with 0 guilt
Your courage
The things I am talking about, don’t have to be massive changes! often the smallest of changes brings about magnificent change and transformation! If all you can manage right now is baby steps, then that is all that needs to happen.
You write the rule book for your life, no one else does and if that means surrounding yourself with like minded people to help you do that, then that’s what you do.
As we walk into these changes with new energy, perspective and hope, we naturally attract good things to us. We may have to let go of things along the way, such as friendships, relationships, work that no longer inspires us, property, money… and this can be hard, but it’s all for the greater good. Your greater good and transformation!

No transformation or significant change can happen in your life until you decide that you are ready. Making these decisions can be scary and make us feel fearful but what I want you to ask yourself is this?
If I do nothing, what is it, in my situation that will change?
How will I feel if I do nothing?
How will I feel If I am brave and take the first steps to change?
Is staying stuck in the same situation going to make me feel happy?
So how do we start with you?
It’s time to start celebrating your talents and qualities that are going to help you on your transformation journey. When we focus on the good, we re-programme our minds. This simple strategy can guarantee us more success, happiness and confidence - and ultimately a better life!
The next few questions will help you identify your strengths so you can build on your courage and confidence and learn how to celebrate and rock what you’ve got! So grab your notebook and take 20 minutes to sit with these questions and be honest with yourself.
