And just like that…

The 14th February is upon us. If, like me, you were completely unaware of this until today because you are so busy living your best, single life then the appearance of loved up window displays, red roses in supermarkets and champagne filled display cabinets probably caught you off guard.

and for me, this was the best thing that could have happened! Because I realised I no longer held on to the belief that Valentines Day defined the direction of my romantic life, or makes me feel like shit if I’m not in a relationship!

This weekend, late afternoon on Sunday, I found myself walking the pound shop aisle for the most sweetest, fun things I could display in my home to make Valentines Day a fun and happy experience for my 15 year old daughter. I also picked up some cute things for my baby girl niece having an operation this week and it filled my heart with so much happiness, love and joy I couldn’t remember the last time I felt so selfless on Valentines Day.

Recently I decided to dip my toes into the world of online dating. I had previously given it a go with not much success! but with the dawn of 2022, I wanted to approach my dating life with new energy and purpose and with a completely open mind…

Within a few short days, I had several conversations with a handful of men that appeared to have a similar outlook on life and similar interests. As soon as we engaged in conversations, it became clear that they weren’t ready for dating and most certainly weren’t ready for a woman who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to voice it!

Taking risks doesn’t mean winning at life every time, sometimes they can lead to failure - and that’s okay. Failure is the pathway to success and something we all must experience from time to time. And what is a failure anyway? If not a learning experience, something which is valuable and helps us not to make the same mistakes again, but failure should never stop us from taking risks. There is a saying,

Wow…January seems to be flying by even though I feel it has been a slow start to the year. I haven’t had the usual speedo start, jumping straight in to work and smashing out loads of goals. It’s been a more sedentary start and I can’t quite help feeling that this is the new way of life for us.

Many of us are working from home still, juggling our hectic home lives with housework and work and there has been no real push or desire to return to the office. Have things changed for good? Is this now going to be the new normal?

I don’t set new years resolutions, I simply don’t believe in them! Instead I set intentions and as you all know my intention for 2022 is transformation! In fact, my previous two blog posts have been all about creating your vision for your future and setting yourself up for a fantastic start to this year. My intention and my ‘word’ is indeed transformation and so with that comes new daily habits that become a part of a lifestyle that I am defining for myself and hopefully inspiring you to do so too.
